I hear these words time and time again. But why is this? See for yourself: when you're in the town centre next, take 5 minutes to sit on a bench somewhere and look around. Pick somewhere busy, like near the Silkstone/Peel Square etc.
Count how many retro Liverpool/Man Utd away shirts there are. Next, go to the Walkabout on an early Sunday afternoon and notice how many average Joes are shouting at the LCD screens because some Lancastrian outfit have just won a corner, whilst they don their retro Liverpool/Man Utd away shirts. People may blame Sky Sports for the demise of the down to earth game. But there are so many sheep out there who think they belong just because their great uncle or whatever lived in Manchester for a couple of years and so they believe they have the right to follow Man Utd. Sky were going to cash in on these people some time or another. These glory hunters are oblivious to the fact that they are the pawns to these bloodsucking media giants. And as always. It is us SUPPORTERS of OUR HOME TOWN CLUBS who inevitably and eventually suffer and are left scratching our heads when the sh,it hits the fan.
