A point today was better for us than them.

We need another win and a couple of draws before the end of the season and I genuinely think we'll get that.

People talk about 'must win' games (and I've been guilty of that) and people talk about teams we 'expect' to beat. Let's face it - it's all a load of B*ll*cks. We've dropped and gained points against teams at both ends of the league, and the last two years we have stayed up beating team we didn't expect to get anything from.

You can't predict a relegation battle. We do the predictor for our sanity and as a ritual more than as an actual indicator of what is going to happen.

We haven't got our backs against the wall - it's still very much in our hands and as I've said, I genuinely believe that the lads will produce five points before the end of the season and that will be enough.

    THAT BEING SAID...

I'm a long way from being a happy supporter. We've not made progress in the league from last year, we do have a better squad but the weak component is the man who is picking the side and dictating the tactics. It all feels like we have a good squad that is just misfiring. I'm convinced that a better manager could take this squad and make them a team inside the top twelve without much having to change.

We are absolutely depressing in the final third. **** me - either Mifsud is *****, or we don't know what to do with him. I've got to the point where i have seen Davey fail to get the best out of so many strikers that I honestly think the problem is the tactics and not the manpower. We seem to attack in such a random fashion, our corners don't seem coordinated, our free kicks are like a sunday league side, and when we break, once we get to the edge of the 18 yard box we suddenly lose the plot and go to pieces.

Look at the league - our defensive record home and away is better than Wolves. Davey does not know how to get a team to score goals. We've scored 12 goals away from home all year. It's not about signing a miracle striker that does it all on his own, it's about setting up a side that knows how to create openings and coordinate itself in the opposition's penalty area (does anyone remember the knock down that Moore won in the Forest penalty area at the end of the first half - ball ran across the face, keeper stranded, no defenders around - we didn't have a single red shirt on the far post to tap it away).

And finally - YES we've thrown another two points away today. That two points at Derby, two points against Forest, and two points at home against Charlton - we'd be chuffing safe by now. Thanks Simon Davey.

i must say, even I (optimist) thought (re: that knock on you mention above) - was a bit strange how we went for the flick on from the set piece, but decided not to put anyone there to pick it up ?*%@?@!?.

having said that bob and JCR have both recently stated that Davey has helped them improve (and they certainly have improved) and also one of the reasons why they signed a new contract.

...but neither Bobby nor JCR are strikers. The fatal flaw with Davey is that he doesn't know what the chuff to do with his strikers.

    Did the predictor tonight

Got us, as you say 1 win, two draws = 50Points
    Forest on 51 points
    Norwich on 49 points

This is too close for comfort, and I gave us a point on Tuesday. Norwich have a better goal difference.
Mifsud is not the answer - where do the goals come from?

    RE: Did the predictor tonight

I got us on 51 points when I ran it, but that included a result against United, which is no sure thing.

Norwich got 48 points and were relegated.
