Shepherd has to find a replacement for himself. He has brought this debacle upon BFC by his ineptitude. If he had given AR an extended contract at the beginning of the season he could have set the 'sack' clock ticking a few weeks ago, and with good reason. His airings in public of the difficulties with AR and signings was worthy of a handbag fight at the local WMC.

The Manager has to be in charge of team affairs, PC chiming in tonight about all and sundry regarding AR's sacking when he has claimed to a supporter who doesn't want to interfere doesn't help.

A sad day, I hope that Andy Ritchie and Rick Holden go onto greater things. Whether the Reds will ever hold a manager down for more than two years is, I guess, a pipe dream.

We'd just be paying out more compensation now.

shepherd should resign for making money available for transfers?

so AR would have bought players if he'd had a contract extension?

    :(
