…but I’ve been proved right once again, the manager isn’t good enough. The manager was never going to be good enough & we’re getting what we deserve at the minute. A big congratulations to Mladen for hiring a manager that got relegated from this league last season. Well ******* done.
I think we would say the same about Pep if he was given these players. However i feel that Clarke hasnt shown he can get the best from these players, shown a gameplan in action nor has a clear direction. That combination added to a group of poor players who cant defend, cant score and dont seem fit enough for a 100Min game isnt a good combination.
The relegation argument is a complete straw man as Cheltenham were marooned at the bottom when he took over. However, I do think it's time to pull the trigger now. Our game management is horrific. The squad isn't great, but it should still be more than capable at this level. We've played well enough in patches of most games to suggest we're well capable of winning them. The amount of points chucked away from winning positions is inexcusable. That boils down to the management.
Facts are facts I’m afraid. He got relegated. We hired a manager that wasn’t used to winning games, he wasn’t on an upward spiral ala Duff was at the time. His previous jobs have been at Port Vale, Cheltenham & Bristol Rovers - he got the job because they panicked after the fiasco with Tallywhacker & then Duff & Stendel turning them down. It. Was. Never. Going. To. Work. Out. Absolute dinosaur of a manager.
again? You said some stuff when we are losing , kept your head down when we were winning and played the odds
Wrong. I said he was an underwhelming appointment in the summer. He’s turned into an atrocious appointment.
To be fair mate there weren’t many excited by his appointment but most were willing to give him a chance,
I agree, but dread to think who would even apply, never mind who these chumps would appoint. Downward spiral I am afraid. Sad to see but maybe people can now see how bad things are at Oakwell and find other things to do. It doesn't hurt once you break the habit of trudging down there. Live in hope we get some ambition again one day. Might be tempted back if we get the soul of our club back.
And bring in who? Perhaps the club's reputation is **** externally, sack Clarke and we may as well start looking in the local leagues.
It’s like Tyrone Vs Bobby Hassell over again. Eventually bound to be correct, yet taking satisfaction from it is weird. I could quite easily start a campaign “Mark Roberts is past it” “Adam Phillips needs to leave the club” “MDG isn’t good enough for us” And there’s a 100% chance I will be correct, because all of them will leave at some point. Then i can say “told you so”.
You can't help but be a nob mate. Probably best just to make your point and not draw attention to it.
