Because I wasn't expecting anything and it seemed like we played quite well. Wish we'd gone for it a bit more towards the latter end of the second half though. It was as though we were more concerned about conceding a second than we were getting an equaliser. There was certainly no barnstorming finish. Maybe West Ham were just a bit too good for us, but it just sounded like we held back a little. Not a big gripe in the scheme of things and it did appear we matched a much fancied West Ham side for long periods, I just like a team to throw caution to the wind for the last 15 minutes when they're behind. Hard luck Reds, let's now hope we can win our home games.
everytime we get anywhere near the playoffs we crumble....makes you wonder whether we have been told to put the 'brakes' on? well peed off....back to the relegation struggle
We're just in a very difficult league that's all and while last we was disappointing the result today was expected by many.
I agree Jay. Games like West Ham away are never going to define our season. I only heard the commentary, and dont feel qualified to judge the performance, other than to say we sounded more than a match for the title favourites. And with better set-piece defending and a bit of luck at the other end, we could maybe have snatched sumat. Onwards and upwards. We are 9 points clear of the bottom 3, and still 5 off the top 6. And now 3 big games to take us into a key month for our campaign - January. Where its going to be interesting to say the least. BTID
agree with these posts, by the sounds of what i have to say was a crap commentary by radio sheffield, we more than held our own against a team that should p155 this league. They started with 3 very good strikers that by all accounts we bossed for the majority, huge defensive improvement from last week onwards and upwards in the new year after 3 points against blackpool
