Despicable acts of intentional offence by despicable people and like you say it's all over a book. They go on about respect and tolerance yet have absolutely none for anybody other than themselves.

They are beneath contempt but be careful not to assume that all Arabs are like that Their actions have been condemned by just about everyone and the Libyan goverment has apologised and vowed to track them down Also its reported that a group of older Libians intervened to stop them continuing Those responsible for the desecration are total scum and are acting completely against the teachings of Muhammed but if we assume that all Arabs are the same that is just wrong too
