Apparently McCarthy rejected the job because the new owners essentially want to pick the players, the manager will have little control of the incoming signings - hence why SOD has got the job. Good luck to him, had hoped he would be BFC manager one day but I can't see how the owners choosing the players will ever work. Its going to be a really interesting season I think; no stand out team. Perhaps Bolton to win it but realistically one 3 of about 18 could go up.
