Is it just me that thinks that The Society of Black Lawyers are taking this a bit too far (ignoring the fact that the whole idea of the an organisation exclusively for blacks is inherently racist itself!) http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20229332 Dont get me wrong I think that racism in football is a bad thing and shouldnt be ignored but huge progress has been made over recent years by education and bringing everyone along the same path rather than the draconian approach taken by this lot that will actually serve to be counter productive I am sure We will soon be at the stage that its a greater offence for a white person to call a black person names than it is to physically assault another white and as for "a 20% quota at all levels of the FA, PFA, clubs as well as football agents and referees" how is that not a racist policy itself?
totally agree they are taking the piss, again I also am no racist but try setting up the equivilant white organisations and wait for the abuse. (Well OK I know theres the KKK but thats a bit different :0))
The lawyer who wants to set up this new black players organisation was the one who made a complaint to the police about Clattenburg despite admitting he hadn't heard anything, been present at the game or even seen the highlights. I believe he has an agenda and I think the agenda is a little more self serving than he will admit to. I also think there are some sinister undertones to this blokes agenda.
The organistation now says if Spurs don't stop any 'Yid' chants they will have to make a compaint to the Met. Is this organisation simply going around looking for any instances of political incorrectness and threatening to report it? I'd never heard of them before the Terry case and it seems that they are hell bent of kicking up a fuss. How can it be against racism yet want to create a divisive, blacks only player's union. What about racism the other way? Does that count? Look, racism is wrong, it's a no brainer. But the sensationalising of the subject only trivalises it and provokes more divisive behaviour.
That's the spurs fans with the traditionally large Jewish followings go have for years called themselves the yid army. Birmingham next with the Zulus.
All sounds rather silly. But then i'm sure that's because i'm white, and don't face the daily prejudice that other races do. Does that mean every race, colour, greed, sexual persuasion & ethnic minority could form their own pressure group and '10 point plan' then. Can you imagine that??
