CALL TO ACTION FOR 2025-26 SEASON TICKET HOLDERS AND THE BUYERS OF OTHER PRE-PURCHASED SWFC MERCHANDISE At what should be a time of excitement ahead of a new season, there are serious unanswered questions about the future of our Club with our members rightly raising concerns about refunds of season tickets purchased for the 2025-26 season, as well as concerns over the ability of the club to honour the delivery of pre-purchased SWFC memorabilia. The Supporters’ Trust has heard with great concern that some season ticket holders who have approached the Club for a refund on 2025-26 season tickets have been successful in their request, while others have been told that the Club is unable to provide a refund. For much of our fanbase a season ticket will represent one of the costliest financial commitments made in any year, making it of critical importance that the Club deals with all supporters in a fair, open and equal way. Given long-standing concerns around the transparency of governance and operations at the Club, we would be grateful if supporters who have: Requested a refund on 2025-26 season tickets and received that refund Requested a refund on 2025-26 season tickets and had that request rejected or ignored Not yet requested a refund on 2025-26 season tickets but will do so in the coming days Not received ‘Club 1867’ books that were originally marketed in 2019 Many replies going for it. I'm not in the serves em right bracket, as most fans just want to support their team, as do we. Those who put us in a very similar position. Give your heads a shake. Losing money yes. But Chansiri ?
Really, i just thought this was warranted and not an update which most will not read. You could have ignored it. It's in the title. they do have loyal fans not all think they are massive. I worked and lived with both and most lived in the real world. Mostly the older end. But I will say united fans never gloated to me.
The other thread of one which I've often commented on. This is a look at the action being taken. By their Trust. Not the state of the club or hatred of the massives. But each to their own. You don't have to read. As it's quite clear who and what it is about. There is a distinction between the titles.
You can create another 20 for me, Paul. The busier the forum the better. And in every one I’ll refer to that club and its fanbase in a derogatory manner.
So why the 'another thread on the massives' ? Drawing a reasoned reply from dreamboy. I apologise if I read it wrong. Each to their own on their opinions. I have my opinions of Leeds. In a similar vein. But would not wish any club to die no more than I did Bury etc.
Totally agree with posting P as it's a warning to all clubs what can happen. Ya niva kno we might pick up some of the edge of Barnsley Wendys youngun's if they go bust..Stilll think them and Leeds are 2 of the best games at Oakwell, especially when we win...remember Connors goal and Kitchins run into box as 2 of my best Reds memories.
Great point T. Most enjoyable and memorable results by far have been beating local rivals. Leeds and Wendy especially for me. Memories
I would sooner we picked up 6 points a season from playing them than they go bust, that would give me more pleasure,
Not claiming this is a done deal (We all know the dangers of that!) but… Chansiri originally wanted £200m which was absolutely pie in the sky. John Textor put an offer of £30m in for both the club and the ground. The Gassama deal has given Chansiri a bit more time but the expectation is a deal will be done for around £45m pretty soon. Textor has recently agreed to sell his 45% stake in Palace. He is also the owner of RWD Molenbeek where Obi Oulare was loaned to.
I don’t care if they fold - they’re superiority complex irritates me more than any other clubs and fans variety of annoyances. The fact they mostly genuinely still believe they’re one of Englands biggest clubs is laughable at first, but then it becomes really tiresome and difficult to put up with without really wanting them to be taken down as far as possible. They’ve not been in the top flight for 25 years…….twenty.five.years. Yet still act towards the teams and supporters of those teams in the divisions they have played in over that time as though they are something on their shoe they’ve stepped in and they don’t deserve to be on the same pitch. They’re completely deluded, show nothing but contempt and think they are somehow ‘Just’ deserving of respect and that they ought to be in the premier league. So as YT so eloquently put it ‘F**k them’
