Now that we've got a propper centre forward, what we need is crosses into the box

Devaney: if he doesn't beat his man early doors he seems to give up and resorts to either knocking it past his man and running into him or passing the ball back to Bobby. 1 decent cross against Norwich = 1 goal

Howard:woeful on theleft side, hasn't the pace nor the trickery to get to the by line and didn't put a cross in on saturday

Reid: nippy but lightweight, knocked off the ballfar too easily and gets trapped on the touch line far too often.

if we survive this season, higher standard of wide men needed for next to give Istvan something to feed on.

Bang on. Ferenczi has scored 3 cracking headers so far so it is obviously a strength of his. We need to be getting quality crosses in and he will get plenty of goals. Not just from freeplay either. We need to get somebody on set pieces who can put it on his head. For next season Davey needs to concentrate on the wide areas of the team. Midfield and fullback.

Eh? 4-4-2 with 2 wingers? You've got the wrong managers tactics there. nt

Devaney not looking the same player compared to first part of the season. Fair enough the tracking back / tacklings improved from him BUT he doesn't seem able to beat the full back. He is a one trick pony at the moment.

Howard - Gets me that people complain he plays on the left side. He was bought as a winger and played majority of his career on the wing. Fair enough, most of is Barnsley career as been in the centre BUT he is a left midfielder.

We can't afford to go back to the Ritchie days of playing two out and out wingers.
We need cover from the right and left midfield for our two full backs.

Istvan will score goals choose what system we play.

What are you basing that on?

If we stick with the style we are playing we will never finish above halfway ever again.

Creating 1 or 2 chances a game doesnt get you anywhere.

Oh and what system are we currently playing , as neither fullback has any cover?

Plus Flinders money. So we can afford to give away Hayes etc.

I have rarely agreed with him- as he has this vendetta with Ritchie- but he is spot on now. We have a centre forward who scores goals out of nothing. We should be going out determined to keep a clean sheet. Ferenczi and Raczi will-hopefully- do the rest

We are playing like we are for a purpose, that is to avoid relagation.

If Davey had had a full season picking up the points he has we would be safely in midtable.

I assume that we would have to change next season,

as if we set up the same as we have done under Davey teams will surely know how we are going to play thus making mid-table a pipe dream.

    RE: Johnny Coachman

I didn't have a vendeta against Ritchie. That was a myth.

Only against his methods which were not working.

Relegation to League One would be.

I know we are not safe yet, but if Ritchie had been progressing as he was we would have had 30 points and be rock bottom.

I saw nothing in Ritchies "coaching methods" or his willingness to strenthen the squad which would have changed anything.

As you are such a fan of his perhaps you could tell us what AR was doing to rectify the situation?

There was plenty of time outside the transfer window to strenghen the squad and please don't get me going about his non-existant coaching methods.
