When Rotherham, Luton, and Bournemouth are looking like going to the wall, does anyone else think transfer prices are/have been, getting silly? Just 5% of what Man City are now reputed to bid for Ronaldo, would keep some clubs going for a good while. What about scrapping the transfer system, and if a team wants to a player, they "buy" him out of the remainder of his contract?
just been saying it on a previous thread, its just ridiculous the gap between the premiership and the football league, football the way its going is going to be ruined.
already ruined and to be perfectly frank it suits the big clubs. They would rather see professional football in this country reduced to 20 or so teams. Its bleeding working too. On my way along grove street this evening, I passed two dozen or so young uns and more than a dozen of em were wearing man u shirts to one BFC top. Its disgraceful.
Really pisses me off!!!! Year after year money is becoming more important! Just somehow cant see how we'll ever make it to top flight again.
We're not supposed to get back to the top flight. If the premier league had their way each area would have a franchise club. They'd amalgamate Sheff W and Sheff U and call them 'Sheffield Raiders' or summert. They'd go for a league of say a dozen big franchise clubs spread evenly throughout the country with just enough fixtures so it didn't interfere with the 'midweek european league'. No promotion or relegation and Celtic and Rangers would be invited provided they amalgamated to 'Jock FC' (battered) . Now i know the amalgamations is a move too far at the moment, but I'm stateing what they'd like to do not what will happen.
And how the hell do you know that? By the way. Saw the goals from the Derby game last night. And there you were celebrating
You're right ! I'm 'outside football' you must have good eyes, i've watched the 'world' highlights several times and i can't pick me out !!
