What about our fan base? Can't think of a single coloured person sitting anywhere near me in East Upper.
Are you suggesting that we import some more foreigners to sit in the stands as an encouragement to the indigenous ethnic population?! Ye Gods man, it would cost a fortune in wages alone. The money would be better spent on the team.
You'd struggle all over the ground, mate - I think the nearest to a black spectator we'll have next season is Dwayne Mattis! We're certainly becoming a multi-cultural team, that is for sure! All we need is a gay physio and a trans-gendered coach and, apart from the fact that women aren't allowed to play professional football, we'd have a true twenty-first century, cosmopolitan set-up!
LOL! There's time yet for that elusive, crocked new signing! How's about a disabled, black, lesbian? Now we're really talking inclusiveness!
Here's the story It goes back to the days of the old disabled stand over the Kop. At the time, no charge was made for disabled supporters or their helpers so it was seen as a way of giving a bit of something back to the club. Mind you, it always makes me cringe when they decide to announce it as "The Disabled Player of the Year Award", totally missing out the key word!
i normally sit in the west stand and have seen quite a few asians and blacks (oops, sorry can you say that these days?)
