Exactly the same as last season, people on here are moaning because we havent signed a player yet!
Lets bring back Ridsdale

apart from disposing of at least 3 good squad players Carbon, McPhail, Burns without replacement.

Carbon? Are you serious?
Mcphail is a good player but only performed for us towards end of last season, during playoffs he was poor.
Burns, league 1 player at most.

Same ambition Ridsdale gave us? What happened that season?
and what happened last season when the board "Werent ambitious" during pre season
1 month to go till new season, plenty of time to sign players.

hmmm we are in a higher league with a tiny squad. One Goalkeeper 3 midfielders and no proven striker. If we had failed at Cardiff and had the current squad i would be thinking we needed one or two. We are in the second tier of the league we need a few players even if they just squad players. Lets face it were poor for large parts last season in a very poor league. People keep saying so were sheff wed and they stayed up, but they also very nearly went down. Most people are not saying the club should break the bank most are just hope for some activity. Now this may be going on behind the scenes but it doesnt stop us worrying about it does it?
9/10 times carbon turned out he was superb.
Thats 16 or 17 games.
So what you are saying is that the loss of carbon, burns & mcphail makes us better placed to compete next season?
FFS Wayne..get thi rose tinted specs off

RE: 9/10 times carbon turned out Ya right, he was superb.
1 month to go, I'll start moaning if we havent signed any players 1 week before season starts...

Aye thats a good idea give em time to gel.
boost st sales.
BTW Carbon was richteas first choice when fit.

RE: Aye thats a good idea I guess i'm a optomist who has alot of faith in Ritchie, Shepherd and Cryne....

I kind of agree... Ritchie has said all along that the current squad deserves a chance in the Championship. I wouldn't expect to see many new faces for the start of the season. I think he'll wait to see how we get on first.
Obviously they'll be speaking with certain players now, seen as its after June 30th, but i'm certainly not expecting anything before August comes around.

Probably right... but i'm going on what Ritchie has said...and since the departure of McPhail, Carbs etc, he hasn't actually come out and said signings will be made...unless i've missed something.
I agree, no signings could well mean disaster...but most clubs haven't even started back yet, and that'll put any potential loan signings out for now.

another word for that could be deluded.
We WILL not survive without strengthening. I am certain.
I hope the management have the necessary acumen to obtain the required playing staff within the next week or so.

RE: another word for that could be We will i reckon, we've got a good defence and a hard working team.
Nardiello, if he plays everygame, will shine in Championship...
I reckon we'll sign a few players in next month

I hope you are right Wayne But we require at least another central defender for cover if nothing else.
Midfield is a crucial area for strengthening. I was not a massive mcfail fan but he was still the best we had to play with howard.
Up front who knows? I am not confident of any of the current offerings getting double figures,
