I've started a different thread regarding the disappointing atmosphere in town before the game.

    As for the game itself

Pat Crynes wife sat at the side of Maurice in the West Stand......plus PCs son and girlfriend..........also Sir Dave Richards (of the FA and Sheffield Wednesday) was there

    As for the game itself

Got to admit that Hassell played really well.............percentage tackles won and passes completed was high
We missed Butland.........Steele isn't good enough and how can anyone say they are a footballer if they cannot pass the ball. Again Steele distribution was appalling. The goalkeeper is the first line of attack; but this can't happen if the goalkeeper keeps passing to the opposition which put us on the back foot constantly

I don't think we can play both Dawson and Perkins in the same side

Mellis and Paddy didn't start so there was a real lack of creativity in the middle of the field
Danny seemed to reverse how Flicka used Paddy........instead of having him on the field from the start and then having to sub him because he dosent have the legs for 90 minutes; Danny used him as an impact sub..........this tactic didn't work because the game had been lost before Paddy came on

Would much prefer to see 4-5-1 than the system we played against Bolton of 4-4-2...........especially if we had Cywka, Mellis and Paddy in an attacking midfield

Up to half time the defence looked solid..........Bolton then had a purple patch for about 15 minutes in the second half and they scored........GAME OVER !!!
How many times this season and last season have we dominated teams but have been unable to score.....only to find that this gives the opposition confidence to push forward and score ???????????
How long have we to endure this ???

Watched Danny closely during the match and he seemed to be taking lots of notes........on the positive side of things - its going to take Danny a few matches to evaluate the players before making changes

    Steele isn't good enough?

Just goes to show how much you really know about football and how much of the game you absorb in through the pre match alcohol

Steele had a few wayward kicks but made two top class saves in the 2nd half to keep us in it. I thought the only difference between the sides was Danns,in the second half we let him play

What a load of *****. Butland was just as bad with his kicking, which you surprising seem to have not seen! Steele is as good as the keeper that we have had on loan, who I am told is a full England International! Butland made some cracking saves while he, but he dropped some fecking awful clangers too, which again you never mentioned.
Yet as soon as a player that has had 4 , yes 4, training sessions and is taking painkillers just so he can play, keeps goal, you can see any mistake he makes, yet you cannot see the fantastic saves he made ! Why is this I wonder?
In my opinion it is probably because you know as much about football as Stevie Wonder knows about Trout Tickling !!
    Just my opinion like............................................................................
