Does anyone know how many goals BFC have scored this calender year? Just wondering after reading the Messi story on the BBC website. He's one goal off equalling the record set by Gerd Mueller with a whopping 85 with four games to go! Would be interesting to see how we stack up against this stat as a team.

We've scored 33 in the league and if we are including the cups, we've scored 40.

Yes, but to be fair, Barnsley have had to face the top teams in Spain and Europe, whereas Messi has only had to face the likes of Peterborough and Bristol City...er, no, hang on a minute...

Given that barnsley have played a load of jaffas upfront it's hardly surprising we don't score many.

Well Messi is worth an estimated £120,000,000.

All of the Barnsley team are not worth 10% of that.

You get what you pay for, it seems.

If Barnsley played Messi my money would be on us. 3-2 I reckon.

How would he get to touch the ball 3 times, unless he is the new centre half ?

I dunno, I reckon he'd score first and then just sit back and watch us pass in front of him.

I think that's pretty much how the first half would go, but then Keith would make one of his legendary substitutions and we'd grab victory from the jaws of defeat, like we usually do.

To be fair Messi would be worse at defending corners than Tudgay

Daggers comes on last minute and runs him ragged. He signs for Barca. England will World Cup. Keith gets the sack.

Or the replacement for Luke in which case he'd get to touch the ball quite a lot.
