Criticising the club for signing players from lower divisions. If my memory serves me right, and it might not after a couple of TIA, BFC sold players like Otulakowski, Pickering, Gorry, Doyle etc,., for high transfer fees to First Division sides, and we were in the basement division.
Tha showing thi age nar mate.....and good players all....but I think the buying clubs took just one or two lower league players at a time into their squad while we are playing half the first team every week with em .....and there lies the problem i'm afraid
yeah but to be fair its mainly down to players leaving and injuries, i don't think he would ideally put em all straight in
its down to us having no money to replace our lost players with anything like the same quality...i'm not blaming hillflicker here because i reakon with a few bob to spend they'd do a decent job,but for me the future is bleak.
not sure about the future being bleak only time will tell, but i think the 1st half performance against derby wasn't a one off tbh just wish they could put in some decent performances but imo confidence has gone this season so not too hopefull of any rest of season.but if theyre time at rochdale's owt to go by they improved season on season with lower league players.its just if they are allowed the time and patience
Erm! Rochdale were lower league too, so the players were of the same standard as the rest of the league, surely? Or were the players they had from somewhere else?
Right got you now. I was thinking he must have brought some Irish etc. Doh!!! Old age creeping up on me.
he is also apparently good at getting the best out of supposedly ordinary players (i personally will save my judgement for a later date) that old age thingy must be catching i seem to have got it also. i'll be glad when i've had enough.
