I believe the message about me doing the ride to be part of a gang was the most insesitive post mate.</p>

I'm not doing the ride to be part of any gang so we'll get that straight now.</p>

Point one is I have 2 children 9 months and 5 years old respectively and I know what its like to have a kid thats ill. For instance my daughter was in intensive care for 3 weeks when she was born - special baby care unit.</p>

There used to be a bloke who used to stand on the top of the hill for years collecting money for that unit and as a teenager I never put a cracker into his pot. A few years later my kid is using that unit which that bloke spent hours collecting for. To say I was disgusted with myself is an understatement.</p>

I hope you see where I'm going with this. Having read numerous posts pre xmas I was touched to say the least. I thought about how easy it is for us to give time/money to worthy causes. As I have had a recent knee op my physio suggested bike riding as a tool for recuperation. Putting two and two together I asked Crystal if was OK to organise a sposored bike ride in aid of the Charity.</p>

I apologise if you feel I have made you feel insensitive but don't label this effort as a chance to attain gang points, whoever the fecking gang is.</p>
