Sorry but he is a total liability ... For all his experience he should make players in this league look like Sunday league players. Sadly it's the other way round ...
At fault for both goals. First he shouldn't have let them get the cross in and the second he was bullied off the ball.
A slightly different slant on it. It wasn't Lewin's fault, it was LJs fault, for moving him to fcukin left back. He's not a left back FFS Lee! Just like Sam Winnall int a central midfielder! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Great point. I'm indifferent to Nyatanga but taking Smith off was a proper bottle job by Johnson in my view. He'd done ok to that point and I've never seen Nyatanga have a reasonable game as a full back (in comparison to what full backs should do). He really compounded a poor choice of formation with poor changes yesterday. Totally muddled thinking all round.
I think Nyantanga is slightly over-rated and is always likely to make a mistake. He seems very easily shoved off the ball and turned by anyone with a bit of skill or strength. That said, I do like him at centre back and think he does a good enough job there to warrant regular games. He's a huge goal threat too. He is categorically not a left back though. Zero attacking intent, zero attacking ability and little defensive nous when in the wide areas.
he specifically said he'd play players in their position, get a stable squad and play attacking exciting football. as of yesterday, he's playing players all over the fcukin shop, hasn't a clue what his best line up or formation is, and is playing some of the most negative football you could wish to see. crackin.
I seem to remember him having a bit of a dig at Wilson for playing cb's at full back when he first got here. it seems to be a requirement of all Barnsley managers to play players out of position.
