He's already agreed to come to Barnsley So if he goes elsewhere either he'll be going back on his word or Derby will decide they'd rather him go somewhere else...
My mate who said he is definately coming to us early this week on loan says that he signed a four year deal with Derby yesterday and has two main options - coming to us, or joining Chris Coleman at Real Sociedad. - He reckons that the prefered option of the club is that he comes to us. This could well turn out to be ****** - so sorry in advance if it is - and i'll be gutted!
From what I've picked up Phil, the key issue was Derby were contemplating actually selling him. Now that he's got the new contract, as you say, I think its down to us and Sociedad, as other clubs were only really interested in taking him permanently.

yeah, but to be fair there was talk at the time of it having been leaked about the player having a get out in his contract, which could only have come from the player or the agent as Wolves approached Barnsley with the correct sum without Barnsley having marketed the player... ...allegedly!
