if you read their chif exec's latest statement, he's virtually reading out simon davey's resume "It would be unfair to name names, because some of them are still in employment with other clubs," added Arthur. "But we would prefer somebody who has experience of managing at Championship level. "In addition, with us having what we believe is a young, talented squad that is full of potential, we obviously want somebody who has a past record of working with young players and developing them as well."
Wouldnt surprise me at all what with the dogs abuse he's had to endure from a section of fans, Id imagine there's only the loyalty to the bloke who's kept him there, if it were me, unless there's scope to manouver in the transfer market, Id give the fans the bird and fck off to a higher profile job.
hehe I'd be bloody amazed if forest even considered him. [img=http://flashyourstache.files.wordpress.com/2007/12/montypanesar18.jpg]I'd be bloody amazed
RE: Yes but what about Forest? nt check out their average home attendance and compare to ours. No brainer.
RE: Yes but what about Forest? nt you'd make an interesting forest fan they're a big club with big attendances and as you love telling everyone Barnsley is a small club with small attendances so we have no right to demand more you'd have to find another excuse if you were a forest fan
RE: Yes but what about Forest? nt we are small in Championship terms, over achieving as it happens. But actually, given economic climate, think 13,000 is a v good turnout for us.
RE: over achieving my arse nt 16th with teams like Charlton and Norwich below us is fantastic given the comparative turnover of the clubs, to survive in the Championship is a great achievement but to ask some, not good enough. Aim higher, yes, but be realistic and see it for what it is.
teams like charlton when the bubble bursts such teams will find themselves up the creek bart a paddle. Mid to low table 2nd tier football is what we are.
RE: teams like charlton Money has ruined football, made it 'an uneven playing field, until the bubble bursts, we are unable to compete for the kind of players that we'd all love us to sign.
