Has this happened to anyone before? I just took my retro BFC shirt out which I last wore at the play-off final 10 years ago, and it definitely seems to have shrunk quite considerably. Not really sure what's caused this, as I thought nylon didn't change size or shape. TIA.

I had the same phenomenon - my 'Football's In Our Blood' t-shirt seems to have shrivelled considerably since the Millennium Stadium. I'm calling Mulder & Scully.

Mine hasn't shrunk but the style of fit has changed. Gone from loose comfort fit to figure hugging

Are you sure it's the nylon that's changed size?

I'm blaming my wife's laundry technique - no need for high temperature washes with modern fabrics and detergents. Then again it might be her cooking.

It's not just nylon. I had Jack Heptinstall make a suit up for me about 30 years ago from a mega expensive heavy worsted pure wool suit length given to me by an elderly neighbour who had stored it under the bed for about 20 years. Would have cost a fortune which is why it never got thrown out. I tried it on about 3 years ago and not only had it shrunk considerably but it had changed from a highly fashionable double breasted to a totally unfashionable double breasted. Strange!!

I've got the same problem, it's getting more and more difficult to get nylons to fit me and when I do eventually get them on they just seem to ladder so easy....anyone else have this problem?

Busted. I've read it back and I'm now sat in the corner with my dunce hat on. I clearly don't do subtle humour well on a Sunday morning.

I have no problem with the shirt, however can anybody answer this. With the onset of ageing does your head enlarge? Upto my mid thirtie's my hair covered my head with ease even to the point where I had to have it cut once a month to get rid of the excess.

    Your Welcome.
Another top tip I got from young nudger is if you have a hole in your nylons put some nail varnish round it.
    It stops it running.

    I wud imagine so.

I'm sure Young Nudger would do a top tips column in WSB . for charity of course but who knows where it could take him or her depending on what he/she's wearing
