Guessing you're not in an office? Only wildlife I see is the occasional blue bottle.

Them Kingfisher are a bugger to spot, been trying fo years to get a decent photo. Their just too fleeting, suppose I'm too impatient.

Very envious. I'm really missing my garden and the local wildlife big time. Been opposite the local train station in a flat with one window having a slight view of the top of a tree on a main busy road while having my house extended... hoping to be back in tomorrow/the weekend, so hoping all the birds haven't forgotten us and come back quickly!

I saw one on my walk, a magnificent blue flash which flew past me, then turned round and flew back the other way. A fantastic experience.

As far as I know there's a pair on the River Dove near Worsbrough Mill, if you're patient enough.

I saw one the other year at RSPB Old Moor. But only because a twitcher pointed it out and let me use his binoculars. It was perching on a post so I could get a good look at it. My friend saw one at Worsborough Mill whilst I was looking the other way at summat else!

If you walk down the trail towards Wombwell you come to the viaduct and the river goes under the path just beyond there

I’ve seen the lesser spotted Spicehead, the double breasted alcoholic, the greater spotted smack head and the raucous noise that is the Needsumbusfayre

In more serious news, there’s a few pairs of Kingfishers on the Dearne from Millers to town.

saw my first and only Kingfisher a couple of years back on a canal walk near Leek (North of Stoke) seen loadsa badgers when I was in the RAF and stationed at RAF Brawdy in Pembrokeshire.. I used to do a lot of SCUBA diving in the RAF and got to some great places, I have had the honour to have dived/swim with Seals, Dolphins, porpoise, whales, turtles, basking sharks Rays... to name a few also was stationed at RAF Kinloss in Scotland on our trips to the N.West coast saw many sea otters. Also saw many specie of deer while up there. I went to the Falklands with the RAF and got to see Elephant seals, fur seals, albatross, and many species of penguin. Its always a very humbling feeling when you get close to these animals. I would so like to go out to meet Orangutan's in the wild... I reckon I would just break down and cry I think they are that wonderful.
