Will be in Bradford next week, just wondering where is considered to be the best place right now for a curry. We used to go to the Kashmir or International, but that was a long time ago. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Still the Kashmir. There's very few of the original curry places left. The alternative to that would be the Karachi which is just round the corner on Neal Street.

I go to Omar Khan’s or Prashad’s, personally. If out in the city.

Been to Bradford a few times recently.
We always used to go to the Kashmir but were disappointed on our last visit. Since then we’ve tried the International a couple of times and that was ok, but I think our new favourite is Omar’s which is just round the corner from the Kashmir.
Their naan bread is lovely and even the smallest one is massive.
They have a challenge where if you can eat their largest one in 45 minutes you get a free trip to Barcelona. Only 2 people have managed it in 12 years mind.

A full Naan in 45 minutes? Appreciate it's going to be a giant one but I fancy my chances at this.

At a time when many people are struggling to put food on the table, producing things like that is obscene, let alone making a contest out of trying to eat one.

Many, many years ago after bellringing and many pints in the Bradford area we all went to somewhere/something called the curry house.
It was out of the town centre down a really ramshackle street.
You had a dish swimming in Lord knows what, a naan or chapati with various other things, no cutlery, only your fingers. These fingers were yellow for days afterwards.
As for the toilets, well let's say they were basic.
    Filthy more like !
But it was always full. The food must have been good.
Probably no longer there and I wouldn't be surprised !!!!

    Is bellringing a euphemism?

Not a lot of expensive ingredients in naan bread though, and if domone can manage a whole one fair play to them!

I would imagine that would be intended for a big party. An extension of the family Naan.

Fair do's. Thought it may have been a phone spelling thing! I did once go bellringing when young - put me off when the vicar told me that if you didn't let go of the pulls you would hit the ceiling!

I think it’s just a curry house trying to have a bit of a gimmick to differentiate it from the many others round there.
The real obscene thing is having a government who have necessitated over 2 million people using food banks.
