In the small village of Avon Dassett, home to around 160 residents, stands Avon Carrow, former hunting lodge of the Profumo family, now converted into several houses /apartments. According to locals all the action took place in the nearby village of Shotteswell. For such a small village it can boast of in the past being home to Jeremy Thorpe's boyfriend, and until recently an extremely popular dominatrix , oh, and some barnsley fans.
I've been to Cliveden a few times (when I lived in that area) and it was interesting to imagine the goings on there as well. The house and gardens featured in the film about the story, "Scandal" Great Dusty Springfield song as well - "Nothing Has Been Proved".
