You have two Children in a car. You're hit by a prison wagon. Your son is trapped in the front. Your daughter is unconscious in the back. Which one do you save first?
Took him 10 minutes to open the door which wasn't even locked. Then carried her 50 yards away whilst flames were flickering under the car. Could quite easily have saved them both. Not that I was watching, my Mrs had it on.
I'm led to believe in real life, paramedics immediately attend the "quiet ones". As they are likely to have received worse injuries if out cold. If someone is screaming in pain, they are very much alive at that point
What about this for a plot line. You think you`ve got something wrong with your eyesight so you strap your kid into the car & go for a 30 mile drive just to check it. It sounds a bit far fetched but it could happen.
Have not read that Adi is getting written out, so I assume he freed himself and we'll see him having a slash at the roadside tomorrow night. I couldnt work out why Kev just stopped the truck and got out, rather than getting closer. Or why the Bistro was having a Halloween party on the 18th Oct. And the sinkhole plot. Nah. All filmed very well but about as believable as the Tram disaster or the Emmerdale plane crash. I'll start believing it is more like real life again when PMG make a bid for Wethy County.
I have been watching Corry since it started and the only thing that is certain is that the plot lines have got more preposterous since the TV soap competition became serious. When Corry started the TV soaps were "Compact", Emergency Ward 10" "The Newcomers" and the like. The BBC even had a football soap - "United". Nothing of that era could touch Corry. Nowadays plot lines have become ludicrous to hold the attention of the audience (which is spoilt for choice) and thus hold the advertisers, which is after all what Soap Operas are all about, hence the name. I agree with all the holes in the plot identified above but Soaps stopped being about real life many years ago.
I've never watched either regularly, but I have dipped in over the past four decades. Corrie does add humour though. How can you not like a bit of Blanch. But Eastenders is just miserable and depressing. My favourite clip
