    A memorial to rightly mark the countries biggest ever mining diaster.
    Then whats the memorial opposite kendray hospital?

    I think they are wanting to place one nearer the actual site which i think is near the existing winding gear at Hoyle Mill

    Oaks colliery was where oaks business Park is, the shaft is at far end at scaffolding business yard fenced off

    I understand that. However, the radio said they didn't currently have a memorial and I wondered what the one opposite the hospital was

    Furthermore, the guy fund raising for it in morrisons said the memorial was going ve near the Harold bird statue

    I maybe wrong but I believe that is a memorial for some of the volunteer rescuers who died
