As of about 30 minutes ago the stewards had given out 80 tickets to people in the queue. Ther are also about 120 tickets given out yesteday that have priority today. The box office dealt with about 300 transactions yesterday so if you were thinking of going down today you might want to reconsider and leave it until next week? Don't forget your season tickets are gauranteed until March 1st.

RE: 300 transactions a day!!!!

COrrect but that's a lot more than 300 tickets being sold. (maybe 10 times that at a guess?)

I'd leave it until next week because I reckon tomorrow will be worse, especially if the chronicle have incorrectly reported the cut off date as being tomorrow. (It definitely isn't)

9-5 = 8 hours divide that by 4 tills

at a guess. and that means about 10 an hour. 1 ticket sold per till every 6 minutes.

RE: Tickets Sold Yesterday

which is a lot for 300 transactions! Averages at 7.33(recurring) per transaction. Perhaps the recurring was causing problems at the till because they couldn't get away!

RE: Tickets Sold Yesterday

Posted on: Tue 19 Feb 2008

TICKET information for our epic FA Cup Quarter Final against Chelsea has now been confirmed.

The game will be played at Oakwell Stadium on Saturday March 8, 2008, KO 5.30pm.

Following negotiations with Chelsea Football Club, the prices for this game are:

Adults - £25.00
Senior Citizens (60 and Over) - £15.00
Juveniles (15 and under) - £15.00

Tickets will be available for Barnsley supporters in all areas of Oakwell Stadium except the North Stand.

Barnsley Football Club examined the possibility of giving Chelsea supporters tickets in the West Stand which would have allowed Barnsley fans to sit in the North Stand. However, the capacity of the West Stand Lower would not have fulfilled the Football Association's regulations regarding ticket distribution and would have necessitated moving around 300 season ticket holders. Following discussions with South Yorkshire Police regarding safety and segregation it has been decided that Chelsea supporters will be seated in the North Stand.

Tickets will go on sale to season ticket holders and Oakwell Centenary Society Members ONLY at 9.00am on Thursday February 21, 2008.

Season ticket holders will be able to purchase their seat plus ONE additional ticket not currently occupied by a season ticket holder. Season ticket holders must produce special match voucher D when booking tickets.

Oakwell Centenary Society Members will be able to purchase ONE ticket only between Thursday February 21 and close of business (3.00pm) on Saturday March 1, 2008.

Tickets will remain on sale to season ticket holders and Oakwell Centenary Society Members ONLY until close of business (3.00pm) on Saturday March 1, 2008.

Any remaining seats (including those normally occupied by season ticket holders) will be released on General Sale at 9.00am on Monday March 3, 2008.

Please note: Season ticket holders and Oakwell Centenary Society Members have between Thursday February 21 and close of business (3.00pm) on Saturday March 1, 2008, to secure their own seat for the game meaning there is no immediate need to rush for tickets.dont leave it too late on saturday .

Supporters are requested to bring cash to the Oakwell Box Office when booking their tickets as this will speed up our customer service.

Many Will Go Down Tomorrow To Avoid Time Off Work, Uni, College Etc

You would think they would do more than 300 transactions tomorrow, knowing this fact. Unless they expect people to have time off to go down next week or join what will be huge queues before our two matches.

It's a good job so many people went yesterday

If we all waited until late next week as everyone seems to be advocating then there would certainly be a mass panic.
