With worries about tomorrows fixture I'll be providing FREE updates regarding the inclement weather conditions in my local Oakwell area; 10:33 - old blowk who lives up top of road who's got big sideburns Amos Brieley stylee usually brings mi neighbours (shes in her 90's and is recovering from a broken hip) newspapers from t'op shop. He's about 15 mins later than normal which would suggest its a bit 'delicate' under foot. MORE TO FOLLOW
Yer rotten bugger! The poor bloke's still recovering from a broken leg and you've got him clearing the snow and ice!
11:15 interesting update Still bad underfoot ont terrace so didnt wanna venture too far so bobbed a few doors darn to see old widower Mrs Percival the terrace bizzie body. Nar then, all she talks abart is weather, she knows the fookin lot. She's 2 Scottie dogs she walks 5-6 times a day. I've not seen owt if her since Xmas eve. Anyway. Made my way precariously down the uncleared path. Curtains were closed, dogs barking, independent paper still stuck outta letterbox and the house in darkness. She must be evvin a kip so I didn't bother knocking. More to follow.
Seriously mate get back down and make sure she's ok, even if it means getting her out of bed. You never know, she might be in trouble.
12:31 - just ventured out down onto Grove Street. The car park is untouched. Looks like a winter wonderland. Few foot prints and a solitary mobocarts tyre tracks than run from the top gates diagonally towards Ponty Road. Beautiful......That'll be sweaty Barrie from far end of Grove St. He'll be on his way darn for his traditional Sunday game of snooker darn at Corner Pockets. I've been told he does salsa classes at least 3 times a week whilst raking in £2k a month ont disability benefits. Shocking. I'm off t'Mount for a pint later. Birdwell Bri dedicates his life to weather so I'll get his opinion.
