http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/8256196.stm When the USA calls for democratic reform they mean that each country should be compelled to adopt a system that matches theirs. The Cubans have the right to have whatever system they want, and very few people know how it actually works.
I know jesus talk bout holding a grudge! apparently they won't trade because of the "un-democratization", ermm doesn't seem so much of a problem when it's China (chinny)
Barack Obama Biggest disapointment in delivery on promises since Chris Lumsdon signed on a permanent deal.
Agreed. Shame like, but he was never going to be left wing was he? They can't even force through a decent health care system. Which is our greatest achievement as a nation.
This is awfully nice of them... "Mr Obama has lifted some of the restrictions allowing Cuban-Americans to visit relatives whenever they want and send money home." Fancy being able to visit your relatives! Amazing considering they could return infected with communism. It's worse than swine flu tha knows.

"The Cubans have a right to have whatever system they want" Try telling that to the Cubans who live under a dictatorship without free elections!
There you go... they do have elections. They just don't work the same as ours do. You know, with our great system of opposition for oppositions sake and two parties that only want to maintain the status quo. Oh and the Lib Dems. I guess that you would imagine that all candidates are Communists.
You should go to cuba some day Seriously The cubans love it there. A system where the very best and most able doctors and dentists choose to work as chamber maids and bar staff because that is the best paid work. Cuba is the best place on the planet that I have visited. Mother nature providing the best weather and beaches Poverty to give you good service. Secret police to keep you safe. I couldn't recommend it highly enough. But don't stay in a Cuban Govt owned hotel. They can't afford the best food - like the rest of cuba. I would imagine it is better than many places in the Carribean, but the way you talk about it.....youd have thought every tide would bring beaches crammed with Dominican and Trinidanian refugees begging to get in!
So Cuba or Trinidad? I know which one I would pick every time and I have lived/worked there. If a Trini even visits Cuba its almost impossible to get into the US.
