the second one he muscled the goalie off the ball-probably have been penalised if it was for us!

    some highlights

Simply put, they outpowered their opponents, with Kayode Odejayi and Clive Platt unplayable throughout the ninety minutes.

The U's went two up within 101 seconds as a clever ball forward found Odejayi down the right channel and, holding off the attentions of his defender, he lashed an unstoppable effort beyond Elliott and low into the bottom corner.

And, as the half time interval approached, there were disgruntled discussions between the visiting defenders as Odejayi again caused chaos at the back, with one cut back to Platt almost providing the U's with a third.

Lisbie helped the U's grab a third on 57 minutes. He helped a ball into the box and, as the Charlton defence hesitated, Odejayi outmuscled the onrushing Elliott and toe poked the ball calmly into the empty net from a narrow angle.

Platt and Odejayi were, as in the Hartlepool game, unplayable by the two centre halves and Llera, who had had an extremely tough time throughout the match, was replaced by Sodje for the final quarter of the match.

Odejayi's performance had the home fans clamouring for his permanent signing

Yes but in 2 years at oakwell

he's failed to even hint at anything similar to the goal he scored last night. Fair enough, he has a good game every so often, but he has far more off days. We've got 4 strikers at the moment who are capable to produce the goods, thanks for the memories of the Chelsea game, and Watford away KO, but i'm afraid times time.

best for both parties if he goes there permanently, odejayi needs a move to rebuild his career and we'll tek a bit a cash bfore his contracts up
