Anybody else find it a bit odd that as soon as Thiam scores, he is subbed. I'm listening to radio commentary so no great authority and I don't wish to question Herr Stendel's wisdom, but Thiam is a player who has shown he can craft a goal out of nowt and we need another at least.
Me either, I would have thought if he hasnt taken the field of play, it could be cancelled. Regardless really, I still haven't figured Bahre out, but tend to think he is a decent midfield playmaker in the making as opposed to a goalscorer.
I agree with and I don’t think a night like tonight would be a good time to bring him on but we’ve scored an equaliser so does that justify it . Not imo
I just think he’s too slow to be honest and doesn’t have goals to his game. I appreciate he has excellent technical ability.
Like everyone else he struggled and it wasn't one of his trademark blasts into the goal. At least he scored though and that's three against Oxford this season. If only we had started playing earlier we would have got all the points and now be sitting second. How many times though have we seen that? "If they win this game they go into the play off positions/promotion positions/top of the league". Seem to have been here many times over the years. Tonight was our chance to get above Pompey. There will be others though.
