A bit unfair there mate, I liked Jim, he was the midfield grafter that every team needs. Looked like his face had been grit-blasted though.
Seen him at Oakwell a few times in recent years, looks like he goes with his son sometimes. Must have stayed somewhere relatively local...
he is at oakwell most home games spends all game on the phone passing information of how the game is going to bookmakers and spread betting firms how many corners etc, his lad used to be in the same team as mine and yes he does live local.
Spent many years at Doncaster and then us. Ended up at Grimsby if I remember rightly. Not the best of players but good enough for the team we had then.
He lives in Sprotbrough at Donny. He is now a plumber and has a share in a small aggregates company too. Great bloke who will happily and fondly talk about his time here, yet bizarrely now looks younger than when he first signed for us in '86.
I remember him well. Solid. Not Ian Banks, Steve Agnew, or Ronnie Glavin, but we have had worse midfield players. Glad he's still attending Oakwell. He is an Oakwell centurian, so deserves some respect. I quite like crabs (the animal, not the infestation).
just been watching julian broddle in the league cup win 5-2 away at west ham in 1987 dobbin was on the bench i was in the stand with the raggylads.
