Well that's about it, all the talk all the hype and the frenzy are all but whispers as we all settle down to a peaceful and tranquil evening. I'm going to make some sanwiches and blow the cobwebs off my old flask and soak it in boiling water before the long journey to Wales. Who would have thought that a simple game of football would grasp the people of Barnsley and Swansea by the throat, and by tomorrow evening turn dreams into nightmares for the defeated. Iv'e watched Barnsley this season, iv'e also watched Leeds United ,Sheffield Wednesday and Doncaster, when Barnsley havn't been at home ,or their away games have been to far for me to travel. I hope most Barnsley fans will agree with my sentiments over the last season, that although a young side they lacked the killer touch, finishing teams off as been difficult to say the least. And how many times have we all come away from Oakwell shaking our heads and saying to friends the very next day that we were poor and don't wast your money going to see them. Well they have certainly kicked into touch that notion, with their last three battling displays. I'm off now, but come tomorrow when Andy and Rick lead out those young red Gladiators into that vast arena amongst the excited Red Citadel and shouting throng, a lump and a tear will come over me and 20,000 more, because we know that these Barnsley Gladiators will fight to the death and sweat blood for this great club. Win or loose they will be all be hero's. good luck lads.
