It has been suggested that the 23-year-old will be released after the current campaign but Davey maintained that he has yet to formulate his summer plans.

Odejayi became part of Oakwell folklore with the goal that knocked Chelsea out of the cup.

Meanwhile, Barnsley are set to take a gamble with Brian Howard and Dennis Souza at Burnley tomorrow.

Both have missed training this week but are expected to be in the team at Turf Moor. Skipper Howard has a knee injury while centre-back Souza suffered a cut eye and had to be substituted against Sheffield United last Saturday.

Odejayi is also a doubt with a bruised ankle.

Former Barnsley skipper Paul Reid has gone on loan to League One promotion-chasing Carlisle for the rest of the season.

The 26-year-old Carlisle-born defender captained the Oakwell team that won promotion the season before last. He made 107 league appearances for Barnsley in a career stretching back to 2004.

Barnsley insist they are not interested in signing former Gretna defender Aurelien Collin on loan.

Barnsley Supporters Trust's annual meeting has been moved to Wednesday April 2.

The trust have issued a statement thanking the club for their handling of tickets for the FA Cup run.

Fans this week snapped up all 33,000 tickets for the semi-final with Cardiff.

The trust's statement said: &quot; We would like to pass on their thanks and appreciation to all the staff at Barnsley Football Club who have worked tirelessly and for long hours throughout all the ticket sales at Oakwell over the past six weeks.

&quot;Throughout this period we have witnessed first hand some of the abuse they have had to cope with. To their credit, they have tried wherever possible to satisfy the requests of those purchasing tickets within the guidelines laid down.

&quot; In addition we would like to thank all our volunteers who gave up their own time to help with marshalling the q <div id="ds-mpu"></div>ueues and offering advice and guidance to their fellow supporters.&quot;</div>
