That famous youtube medley of his goals for Cheltenham the season before we signed him. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=pRuyP-P4aYk&feature=PlayList&p=554B6177E04F1FF4&playnext=1&index=13

All in all I counted 15 goals scored by KO, these were as follows:
    8 x headed goals
    4 x tap in's
2 x one-on-one's (1x sprinted past keeper to finish, second was a high lobover keeper)
1 x challenge on keeper followed by cool finish (but to be honest 99 times out of 100 it would have been a freekick)

Having watched it again it is clear that he is a good header of the ball (8 headed goals) and is lightening quick. He was unmarked for at least 2/3rd's of those goals and players at that level couldn't cope with his strength/pace. I think he has two key problems since making his move to Oakwell, as follows:

    1. He is up against better quality and more physical players, who can match him for power/pace and mark him more tightly.

    2. It was clear that Cheltenham played to his strengths, we don't. But then again long ball and direct style of play doesn't work as well in this league (as mentioned in 1).

In conclusion, I feel he is decent squad player to mix it up in last 5-10mins with physical presence but no more and will never score goals regularly at this level unless he vastly improves. However, if he were to drop down a division I feel he would find his level and regularly score goals.

    Good watch - thanks ....

sure I saw Devaney making at least one of those goals. Agree with you about the chances available at Championship level compared with Leagues 1/2.

I don't think we should sell him though.

If we ever get a goal in front, OJ should be sent on and told to sit on the half way line or further forwards.

We've seen him beat defenders a hundred times for both strength and pace in this division - anyone remember a certain match against Cardiff.

He terrifies defenders and is a great weapon for keeping them back in their half. When they've already run 60 minutes, putting OJ on against them is a great tactic, if only he could put the ball in the net!

    - and I'm not suggesting you said that we should sell him.

The great place about this board, for me, is the variety of topics and knowing that if I have a question/problem, 99% of the time I can find an answer from someone on here.</p>

If you don't like the non-football stuff, don't read it. It's that simple

Your post wasn't about football either

    Tsk tsk :D

In my opinion this board would be very boring if no one ever posted "non-football crap" in here...
