Both have scored goals in the lower league, but as yet have failed in the Championship. So are we getting a better striker? Personally i think Yes. I am not one of the people that boo KO or even dislike him....In fact if given a chance and maybe a goal from somewhere i think KO has potential in this division. What KO is clearly lacking is intelligence. By this I mean his movement off the ball, his anticipation to situations in the final 3rd. Having watched KP a few times for blackpool, this seems to be one of his big plus points. He is a nightmare for defenders, never giving them a minutes peace. He may even know the offside rule! I am willing to blame his lack of goals at blackpool on the style of football they play and i think he will eat up Howard's through balls. In summary....give KO a chance and imactually quite excited about KP, even if swansea did want him!
We havn't signed Parker yet. Looking back at other transfer dealings in the past, when the word gets out to the media long before we have signed the player, we usually end up with egg on our face. Either the player changes his mind, his wages are to demanding, his agent as bigger and better teams for him to look at. Or he is ambushed at a motorway service station and bribed to sign a contract there and then. When it is all hush hush, BarnsleyFC take great pleasure of informing the fans that a deal as been done.
