20 goals? you want your head testing sonshine. I bet you right here and now...if he does score 20 goals next season. I will give you 20 POUNDS.
What's going on? People getting behind him and supporting them, instead of abusing him. Nice to read, hope it is justified.
no chance without getting into an argument on the merits of playing him, i think its almost certain he wont score 20 goals, he would probably need around 100 clear easy goal scoring oportunities to even get close to that maybe more
Not likely to come good if folks wait for his first mistake & then jump on his back. He is obviously a "confidence player". Just get behind him whilst he's in a Reds shirt.
Yeah that's right, he needs to be given a chance to prove himself. The first FORTY-FIVE games he played for us was that chance. He didn't do the job, now he can leave and be replaced by a competent striker
The goal against Scnuthorpe did his confidence that much good that it only took him another 5 months to get his next.
The one against Chelsea did his confidence the world of good, he looked very confident as he fired the ball high and wide into the barnsley fans at wembley.

Odejayi's problem last season was not down to confidence, it was down to ability.

RE: The goal against Scnuthorpe did his confidence that much good Not sure I'd be very good at my job if I had a couple of thousand people who were supposed to be on my side, criticising everything I did.
Like I said, if he is a confidence palyer then those goals should have given him confidence to progress. They didn't so he isn't a confidence player.
For Christ's sake leave the guy alone If he has a red shirt on, support him. What is the benefit of continually abusing him? How will dishing out abuse improve his performance? The fact is that according to this poll most people are either 100% behind him or want to give him a chance, so the people who abuse and ridicule him are in the minority. The fact that there are people on here who think that Brian Howard is ***** just about sums up who no-one can win an argument about ability.
Agree to differ. His performances went downhill as the crowd increasingly got on his back. His performances improved considerably towards the end of the season, when the crowd seemed to be more supportive. = confidence player. I'm not saying he'll ever be the finished article. I'm saying that he'll be more productive for us if fans back him not slate him. Some players need a kick up the backside to get them going - I think he needs an arm round the shoulder & some reassurance.
it is blatantly obvious that this guy has got ability, not just anyone can make terry and co look very ordinary. in his defense the majority of his chances he missed are chances that he created for himself i.e. using his speed strength etc. what would have happened if it was say jon macken(only an example) who got put through at wembley, but due to lack of pace didnt even get a shooting oppurtunity? would he be slagged off for it? no, it'd just be oh wel if only. which is why the treatment of odejayi was disgusting.
