just been reading some of the comments about the scab chants,as an ex miner i did find it getting a bit annoying, but what really pissed me off yesterday.and i think its put the nail in the coffin for travelling to away matches is the abuse that was dished out towards oddjob.now im not sticking up for him and disputing whether hes good or not good enough but when he goes on that field with a barnsley shirt we should get behind the lad not abuse the kid,one chap behind me not young lad either shouted get the black ****** off,are these the same guys who not long ago were shoutin davey out .why do they bother to turn up is it the piss up in the pub then if it is stay in the pub then we dont have to put up with your crap ur shouting at the players ,as for the match one of the worst displays ive seen this season no ballance no cutting edge in front of goal and by the way oddjob didnt miss the sitters it was macken and foster so are u gonna shout **** off back to preston and burnley .
Agreed 100% mate. I tried to have a word with one of the abusers and him and his mates turned on us and issued violent threats. Travelled by train and was surrounded by low life scum on both legs of the journey. Even had to sidestep someone in a pub toilet snorting coke off the wash basin. Never say never but I'm in no hurry to go to another away game any time soon if that's the kind of people associated with my town.
Didn't hear much Oddjob abuse myself, but I got well pissed off with the Scab chanting. I thought Oddjob did ok yesterday, the player I was most disappointed with was Anderson, kept giving the ball away.
He Started Well There were a good half dozen things he did well at the start. Headers on, good passes etc and then he messed up one attack and then the racist abuse got shouted at him. No need for it at all.
yes there were people smoking strange substances the stench was there - and some people were so pissed they didnt know where they were
racial abuse is out of order and I heard a few people using Big Ron's favourite word yesterday - very embarrassing however, this doesn't change the fact that KO is complete and utter **** and it's high time Davey got rid because at the age he is now this is as good as he will get
RE:IDIOTS!! Put me off going to another away game by train for life after being surrounded with the scum that call themselves Barnsley supporters. An embarrassment to the club and town, it's so depressing why can't people accept that we're not going to play great every single week. Instead they think its ok to shout racist/Idiotic abuse to the team and certain players. Do they really think this? Or to impress mates? or what? i really do not understand. I come out listening to some people's comments thinking have i just watched the same game as them. Does anyone actually think that any of that team yesterday went out to perform badly or to not try? There will be plenty of the idiots mentioned above on this messageboard so please answer my question, What good do you honestly think it does to behave like this? And another big well done to police at Derby station where they did a terrific job of keeping all of the ******* from running straight down to platform soon as the train went flying past rather than keeping them segregated from the rest of us till we boarded(wnkr)
RE:IDIOTS!! Most of this scum are more interested in getting pissed than watching the match, even at Cardiff & Wembley they were a disgrace and it's not just a few either. They should be stopped from going in the ground if they're pissed.
I like to av a drink before the game but some of these tossers are like animals when they've ad a few. Usually with their "gang" behind them mind.
Block X1 Row P (seat 97 I think) Bloke staggers in next to me 10 mins late collapses in his seat, proceeds to half eat, half spit everywhere his stinkin curry pie then sleeps thru the first half. Coupla minutes before half time he wakes up to stand and scream "scab scab scab" then vanishes for another pint presumably. Returns for the second half and I spend most of my time watchin to make sure he doesn't puke on me and the kids as he's lookin decidedly ill by now. Guess he had a top day.......................why go?
Fair enough theres nowt wrong with having a couple if ur mature enough to handle it. But these kids, most of em 17, 18, 19 and the older people who are rough as pig **** dont know when to stop!!
Aye, it's nice to wet yer whistle before hand, although not too many.
Mind you, at football ground prices mi wallet usually kops out before mi stomach does!

Tell me about it. Its all that cheap stuff all young uns drink anyway. Lambrini and Asda price lager.
