Some sublime bowling and catching by SA and some poor batting by England. We could all be out before half the overs have been bowled!
Looks a popular match this based on the signs out this morning advertising two car parks, rather than just the one. I took Betsy out an hour ago and saw that the Park and Stride car park was in use near the uni too. Is it just a one day thing or will it be continuing throughout the week?
And fair bit of luck the one that hit the keeper and went to hand, the keeper spilling it up in the air allowing him to grab it. Do you think England players are still in boom boom cricket mode you would hope not as this looks our strongest team full experience and world class cricketers. The SA have been good but this is embarrassing looks ,like been bowled out with half our overs left.
From world champions 7 years ago to a laughing stock. Whatever could have happened in that time? Oh yes. That 16 and a bit overs bowlocks. Our best players no longer play this format. Pointless us playing in next world cup.
Wow hadn't even got around to looking at the score and we're all out! Not given baker much to bowl at on his debut! What's the pitch looking like? A few demons or are we just shocking?
Just shocking I think, we know SA are great in the field so you don't have to make it easy for them!.
It's just rubbish and a lack of responsibility. They'll talk about the future and all that usual crap. It's simply rubbish.
To be all out for less than 25 overs is abysmal particularly as we have many supposed world class players. Shocking display… think of the paying public who deserve their money back
Shocking performance to be over around the time the South Africa reply should have been happening. Too many undercooked whilst South Africa won in Australia. Brook should have got back. Duckett is out of form. Bethell is out of form from being a water boy most of the summer. I wish Brook had said they weren't going to try and win and was going to open with Baker and I would have left sooner. South Africa took the P changing their batting order when they only needed one run by putting Stubbs and Brevis above Zorzi. A rare highlight was the Barnsley fan I spotted wearing our early 90s light blue away shirt.
East stand lower was 70 quid, so only a tenner more than Western terrace. It cost £21 for two meals. Guinness lovers were being charged £7.70.
Not cheap but it’s the way of the world I suppose. At least you saw a brilliant knock by Markram and some good bowling by Maharaj
Saw the best umpire in the business IMO Nitin Menon. Seeing how fast Archer bowls in person is something else as TV doesn't do it justice. You get a better feel of things too for example the keeper and slips stand way further back than it looks on the tele. The fielders down by myself were Mararaj, Ngidi and Rashid.
