Head for the Grasshopper, just off the Damrak, 5 mins from Centraal Station. Bottom floor is really chilled out. The 'action' is just around the corner.
Grasshopper Was our "local" when me and the mrs went. Hotel was on Beursstraat and the Grasshopper was on the T-junction at the top of the street. Cool boozer and the area is OK until about 1 in the morning. After that it began to get a bit hairy... As long as you don't stay out too late, though, the RLD is quite a good part of town for going out on the lash.
RE: Grasshopper Went over there with England once for wednesday night match. That Grasshopper is mental. If I remember right it's over three floors. That Teasers accross the canal from it is mint aswell. (casualty)
