Off topic, but holidays

    ... Ok fellas.... The other half has booked us a week's holiday in Lanzarote. All good, except he thinks the four of us can survive for a week, using whatever we can take in flight bags, nothing more.

    Now, I'm not one for over-doing it on holiday, and I think I travel pretty light as it is, but he can fill a couple of travel bags with the crap he buys at the airport alone.

    Am I being unreasonable to want to take a suitcase as well?

    I've noticed people taking massive bags on the plane themselves and nothing ever gets said to them, I'd definitely recommend paying for a suitcase in the hold beforehand as if you stick to the size of bag you can carry on the plane you'd be lucky to get anything more than toiletries in there. If you risk it and take a bigger bag to carry on it'll cost a lot more if the airline insists it goes in the hold.
