at this moment in time i think the player of the season is between these two.

both have played brilliantly this season and to say i wanted them both out in pre-season. i'm so glad they've made me eat my words.

without either of these players i don't think we would be where we are now.

keep up the good work and i think every barnsley fan thankful you're at our club.

Not going to disagree with you, both have been great. But I'd like to add Jacob Burns and Steve McPhail into that list as well.

Agreed. They are both consistant, and whilst other players may have better games, these two can be relied upon week in week out. Burns a close 3rd.

    I'd say Burns, Colgan, Austin.
Hassell has been brilliant, but for me he's missed too many games to be the player of the season.

    You must add McPhail.

He was built up to be a huge signing for us and i think most expected too much from him when he first arrived. Alot of people on here wanted shut of him before the start of this season.

He's missed afew games this season through injury, but when hes playing well we look the buisness. I'am sure he'll be the first name on the team sheet in the remaining games. If he keeps his current form up, he should walk our Player of the year.

I'd have Colgan, Hassell & McPhail (not in any particular order) but if McPhail keeps going like he has been he should walk it!

Burns & Austin - nice try no cigar. Or, all perspiration no inspiration. Or, headless chickens. Or, can't pass to save their feckin lives!!

Players to realease - Conlon, Scarcella, Wroe, Vaughan. Send Williams out on loans get a few layers of lard burnt off.
