Well in Barry! Some of our ‘supporters’ are an utter disgrace giving him stick all the time. He clearly loves playing for Barnsley and he isn’t the worst player ever as some absolute losers would have you think.

My lad (18) and his mates have dropped on Barry in the pub, in town, a couple of times. Whilst they are too old to go and idolise him, they have (drunkenly) pointed out that they are tarn fans who admire him.
But rather than languish in his minor celebrity status, they tell me that Cotter’s approach is more of gratitude for making him feel welcome in his new home.
It would appear that this lad is a top bloke off the pitch and has certainly got the makings off being top notch on it.

Edit; If Neill Collins reads this, he was supping pop…… both times. Fruit Shoots in fact.

I’ve never met him but my mates lad & his pals have met him a few times in town & speak very highly of him. Had loads of time for them & had pictures with them.
