Club Statement: Lee Johnson - More from the official site... 05-02-2016 10:53 AM
Stinks a bit that statement for me. 'He's only the head coach, he can stay if he likes but we won't miss him much' basically. Don't buy into that - and how many managers would accept such a 'limited' role? Would someone like mark cooper? Have no doubts, that statement is bulls**t. He will be massively missed - and for me to say that after my opinions before Christmas shows exactly how well he has done. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't blame him for going, and I don't blame he club for letting him. But why say that? Why not just say he expressed an interest in the job at a club he has roots at, in a higher division, and whilst reluctant we felt it fair to allow him to speak to them? Bit of fecking honesty? No not at bfc. It has to be spun. I smell a bit of bulls**t Ben influencing that one.
Is it **** great news. Don't be ridiculous. We have a stable squad, a winning formula, we just got to Wembley, we're within 5 points of play offs and we just won manager and player of the month. Your entire assessment is based on your totally weird otherworldly views on Paul Digby. It's not great news at all Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
lets not forget this was the same manager that lost 8 straight games wont miss him to be honest think we can do better
I have no idea what that statement is supposed to mean. Is it that we can 'plug and play' any ****-poor manager into the role because the structure is the important thing and not the personnel?
Sean O'Dismal was given permission to speak to a club whilst at Donny (think it was Villa) and was given the job but refused it . So not too concerned tbh.
Eh? Windup p We are about to get compensation fora manager who in a recent poll on this bulletin board service the overwhelming majority wanted sacking
What a completely bizarre statement to make. If Johnson does go, those word will hardly persuade potential applicants to stick a CV in. Basically made public the fact that a large proportion of the day to day management of the club is out of their hands and that the 'Head Coach' is a replaceable irrelavance, so long as they stick to what the hierarchy want. Typical friggin Barnsley, some optimism, good football and good results, culminating in booking a day at Wembley. Then an implosion less than 24 hours later!
Good communication from the club. A clear and concise statement but people will pick holes in owt. Johnson is replaceable we find ourselves mid table in Division 3 not top of the premiership
