    If this so-called supporter is caught and found to have racially abused the steward, they should be named and shamed, as well as banned for life. Absolute scumbags still thinking this is OK (obviously it's never been ok) in 2023, wtf is wrong with people.

    Trouble with a d!ck head is we all get tared with the same brush,WHY would anyone want to cause trouble/ abuse people when they are out to enjoy a game of football?????

    I just hope the club doesn't suffer any fines etc. How on earth are a football club supposed to curtail the actions of ONE individual. I could go online right now, buy a ticket for the next away game, attend it and racially abuse someone while I'm there. (Not that I ever would ofcorse)

    In that process, where can the club intervene to stop me from doing that?

    Find the guy or gal and ban them for life. But the Club shouldn't suffer any ramifications.

    As much as I can gather. I was told he was arrested but released. To go home, so they already know his identity. After initially giving them a false name then checking him out. Summons for court in the post I guess.

    Sadly, we do all get tarred with the same brush. Whether it be football fans in general, or as Barnsley fans. Which is why we all have a responsibility to call out any inappropriate behaviour when we hear it.

    If a Millwall fan does this everyone calls them a scummy club

    If a Barnsley fan does it people say its just a minority

    Its interesting to me how the same thing can be interpreted differently

    And that's partly the issue too. Whilst I have seen sweeping statements on here and all over social media about Millwall, I have seen them about us too.

    Millwall have a reputation which no doubt, the powers that be, are working hard to try and eradicate. They'll have an element of their fan base who are embarrassed about that reputation, and need to call out anyone who's behaviour isn't acceptable if they're ever going to change people's opinion.

    The last time we played Millwall at Oakwell, we got chatting to a group of their fans probably in their late 20s. Absolutely sound bunch of lads who were there just for a good day out. Didn't strike me as the typical "Millwall" type. Which goes to show, it's probably a minority at every club.

    Some people can't be educated though, which is why the rest of us need to do the right thing.

    Why is it a lie ffs. Don't go looking for summat not there.
    SYP were also there but it will be manchester doing the follow up investigation with SYP cooperation
    The club have put out what they will have been told and that wouldnt include his name (if indeed they ever will, that will come out in the courts) at this stage till the police have finished their investigation. I was told on the day. but not the lads name. Pretty sure someone knows.
    The second paragraph is a warning to all.
