they will be asking for turnstile operatives shortly so I hear....loads packed in due to new penny pinching tactics from the new 'supremo' in charge of matchday turnstiles.

Only what I heard tho through the grapevine of the rapidly departing part time staff.

employed by bfc but stopped doing the turnstiles a couple of year ago as my eldest wanted to start going (god knows why).

I was told (true or not) Saturday that they are leaving in droves for several reasons. We used to get £16 cash (tax paid) and in for nowt. Now they are not paying the tax and taking it off the £16 which will deduct 20 odd pence in't pound (depending what the tax rate is - dunno off hand), which is £4 less if paying 25% tax. Either way it's hardly worth doing now - plus other changes in practice which expect more for less pay basically.

they really know how to treat people down at Jokewell don't they....maybe they are saving up for a new scoreboard !!.....thereev tip: try one less loan player yer nupmties instead of screwing the workers.

Oh well, well out of it tbh

about 2hrs unless you cop for the half time gate....apparently you don't even get extra for the half time gate now.

Is the half time gate random? If that's an extra 45 minutes then wouldn't that mean its below the minimum wage?

it wasn't random when I was there......some people used to volunteer for some reason!?!?

it probably is borderline minimum wage nowadays......£16 weren't bad and suppose taking in to consideration the freebie of getting in, it still ain't bad...no good if you don't wanna watch the game though.

tha's gotta laugh when you think of all the money they waste at Jokewell and then start nicking a few quid off the turnstile / programme sellers.

set a clowns imo....and I am entitled to it.
