    Fine margins is two teams being fully up for it throughout the game, then you lose by the odd header in injury time. See United-Liverpool, or Portsmouth - Derby.

    This wasn't fine margins - we were just flipping awful. Again.

    I was talking to someone about this earlier. My biggest worry at the moment is that Collins doesn’t seem to see what the rest of us see. It’s just variations of “we’re playing well and are just being unlucky”.

    At best It points to self-preservation and an unwillingness to adapt. At worst the guy genuinely hasn’t a clue and is so deluded he can’t see the woods for the trees.

    We’re sleepwalking out of the playoffs and Saturday (rightly or wrongly) will be toxic. It’s too late now, but us that were mocked a few games ago for wanting him sacked are not looking so stupid now.

    No.idea what match Collins watched after listening to that interview the guy deluded then fir cadden to follow up.n say we were better team other than short spell makes me think he as deluded as Collins

    I share the same concern as many others. It's not just that the performances and style of football are so bad - it's the fact that neither the manager nor the players seem to be acknowledging it. If Neil Collins feels these are good performances, I'm genuinely worried about his judgment. In a league of generally really low quality, we look as bad as anyone right now. Teams must be coming up against us at the minute, wondering how the hell we're in top 6. IMO, the standard of football I'm seeing from this group of players right now, is without doubt relegation standard.

    They just look completely bereft of confidence, ideas, pace, aggression, movement, creativity. If they can't see that, it's a real worry. Tactically they must be an absolute joy to play against. Side, back, side, back, hoof, to no one, but also with a defence that crumbles under any type of pressure. I can't question their graft - I see no lack of graft. Just a complete lack of anything else.

    Need basics football now. 4-4-2. Goalkeeper see centre back. Me centre back. Me dumb, dumb, me defend. I pass to man with brain. Me Connell or Kane classy midfielder I think I'll move it out wide. Thanks me O'Keefe I should be playing instead of pudding mix. I'll cross a ball that leaves the floor and assist a goal.     Something quite apt about this heading not having a verb in it. The lack of a 'doing' word reflects the lack of 'doing' players at the moment.

    The interviewer didn't exactly hold their feet to the fire either. Apologies if it's anyone on here, but either the Club are telling the interviewer to go easy and essentially agree with Collins' "we're just unlucky all the time' schtick or, they've all totally lost their minds.

    I feel like I'm going insane when I listen to them week after week saying how we're dominating and showing our quality, it's fine margins.

    Fine margins? We are SHOCKING, from back to front.

    And I get that quality wise we're not great, however we've had teams over the years that have at least had an identity, bit of fight, some degree of tactical nous - doing the best with what we have. I don't see any of that currently. We looked so off it - again - last night and I'm worried that NC just doesn't see it
