What a Pollock. He was exploiting their full back areas by playing no wingers? Sack him Ben sack him now
We thought the full-back areas were where the space was and we weren't exploiting them in the first half so we needed some pace out wide. Thats because our full backs are center back or at very best defencive minded full backs.
After these comments I think my position has moved from on the fence wait and watch to one of needed ins a management change. Our good start lasted 8 mins. We looked poor full back position but hadn't we done any homework on Fleetwood. Their game management was good and yet again our ability to change something was very bad. The hoof and hope game plan hasn't woked last few months but now we have a player to hold it up front, or have we? Best midfielder nullified wide and best winger tucks in to be ineffective. All these are of our own doing. We need a changes. If a new manager believes in youth then we will have a good foundation because as of now playing kids is 'the' only strategy I see here "I thought we started really well," said Wilson. "We were really at it. We put them on the back foot when we got the goal early on. It was a great time. Then we just seemed to get quite nervous and anxious at times". "We've seen the goal come out of nothing. It's one ball from a set-play that's come out of the box and their lad's rattled it back in. "The second one's another set-play. We're looking at the picking up and the marking like last week - it's people falling asleep and it's criminal." The Reds' fifth-minute lead, courtesy of Peter Ramage, was overturned by two goals in the first half. "I don't think either 'keeper's had many saves to make quite honestly," continued Wilson. "But we had enough chances. We had a couple of great chances to get ourselves level, which we didn't take. "We saw everybody gets anxious, the crowd gets anxious. "We thought the full-back areas were where the space was and we weren't exploiting them in the first half so we needed some pace out wide. "I felt we started being a bit jittery. Everybody wants to see your team winning at home. We've just lost away at Swindon last week and again at home. The inconsistency's there to be seen. What they want is consistency and it's what we want. I have to say it's never going to be easy to get that consistency. We'll have to wait and be patient, it's a watchword that's a premium at this moment in time. So sort it Danny. Stop the silly tactics and utilise the players you have in to a simple effective method of playing. Half of em looked either dis interested or clueless! Keep it simple try to pose the opposition some problems and ask them questions for a change. Don't be scared of doing whats right for the greater good of the team
