    Isn't that an international weekend?

Can't see EFL wanting to start the week before the international break either.

The weekend before is so it makes sense to start the season when it is. The alternative would have been to play last weekend of August and have a two week break after one match.

    7 weeks tomorrow right?

Give all concerned a few/couple of weeks off to recharge and then get back at it with another preseason. Let’s hope we come back as strong as we did after the lockdown break.

Adds even more importance to getting the Wigan, Wednesday and Derby situations sorted so we can prepare our signings and departures.
