    Just glanced through the pics and the one thing I have to say is.....
    That kit is truly awful. The shirt on its own is not great but those long hooped socks.....good god! I've quite liked socks like that before but this time they just look bizarre and the current fashion for wearing them above the knees makes it even worse.

    My picture thoughts were why the new kit doesn't have the new sponsor on and why the Toulon penalty area looks more like the end of the season than start of pre season.

    For me CR the socks are a reminder of our hitherto one and only promotion season.
    For me, after all these years, for a lot of our fans who remember those heady days,
    they will revive some very happy memories seeing a Barnsley team playing in them
    again after all these years.

    I do like the stripey socks we've had in the past. Maybe it's because they make them look more like stockings the way they wear them these days, they're too obtrusive. All subjective but the kit looks pretty horrible this season and it's not usually something I bother much about. Maybe I'll get used to it.
